Reddit users have revealed the most outrageous and downright bizarre reasons they've got the sack; from undeserving acts like farting, to resounding all-out fails like getting drunk at work.
One man revealed that when he was working as a cleaner, he was overheard passing wind in the toilet that he was cleaning; he lost his job the next day after someone who overheard reported him.
Someone working a hospital was sacked for spelling diarrhoea wrong, another for using a purple pen instead of a blue one to write medical notes and someone was booted out for serving the doctors decaf coffee instead of regular.
One person revealed their seemingly ridiculous reason for being fired - for slouching. The disgruntled former colleague was sacked on the spot at his call centre job because of his poor posture.
A puzzled receptionist revealed she was fired for having eczema with her boss telling her that her appearance wasn't 'up to standards required', and another was bizarrely fired for quitting.
Intoxication, perhaps unsurprisingly, was another common fireable offence.
One submitted: 'I got so drunk at work today I was fired for telling my boss to go f**k himself,' admitted one person.
One man working as a waiter revealed that he got fired for asking Zac Efron for an autograph when he was having dinner at the restaurant he worked it.
'It was a once in a lifetime opportunity!,' he added.
