Happily unmarried! Goldie Hawn opens up on dating Kurt Russell for 34 years despite having sex on the first date

Hollywood power couple,Goldie Hawn ,71 and Kurt Russell ,66 have been together for 34 years, even though they have never wed.

The 71 year old actress has explained why they never tied the knot.She told PEOPLE

“I like the idea of being his girlfriend and vice versa. I think you don’t demand things. I think we have independence, but two pillars hold up the house.”

Goldie tells how on their first date, they were caught having sex by security guards at an empty house she was renovating. They had already broken into the place:

“It was so much fun. It was a great night. A night to remember. A very beautiful night. That was the beginning.”“I thought he was really fun. I liked him because he didn’t have any airs about him.He was so good-looking, but he had no pretense about him. I could tell right away he wasn’t a womanizer,” He’s awfully good looking but he was just a regular guy. When I went over to do something he said, ‘I didn’t realise you had such a nice figure.’”

 On how they  kept their relationship in equally good shape, while countless other ­celebrity couples split? She says:

 “You have to learn how to work your way through an argument and be skillful about it and resolve it.
“Things happen during a marriage or a union, things that are said that shouldn’t have been said, or things that are done that shouldn’t have been done, or you feel neglected.If two people really want to be together there’s something to cherish, so you keep it fresh by surprising each other. Go to a hotel room, go take a hike. Make something happen that’s unusual

 Hawn says she has learned the secrets to a long-lasting relationship.

“Love, gratitude, compassion, because sometimes every man or every woman will drive their partner crazy. Family. Fun. Laughs. Sex,” Hawn says. “If you don’t nurture that, and remember, you’re done.”

 The couple recently received side-by-side stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and Hawn says Russell’s remarks moved her the most that day.

“It turned out to be a lovefest,” she says. “The last thing he said was, ‘I’ll always cherish you.’ I didn’t expect him to say those things. I had no idea he was going to be so beautiful.”
