(Photo) Girl, 12, forced to leave chess tournament due to 'seductive' dress

A 12-year-old girl was allegedly forced to withdraw from a chess tournament after her dress was deemed too "seductive".

The minor, who hasn't been named, was due to take part in last month's 2017 National Scholastic Chess Championships in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

Her coach Kaushal Khandhar detailed the "disturbing incident" in a post on Facebook. He included a photo of the girl, without picturing her face.
Officials at the event in Malaysia advised the girl's mother to buy another outfit before the start of the next round the following day,UK Mirror reports.

But the shops were closed by the time she was informed, and her daughter was forced to forfeit. She lost her registration fees, coaching costs, and travel expenses.

Many on Facebook slammed the tournament officials and said that 'sexualizing' a girl of 12 is inexcusable and sickening..
