The man, Oghenetega Orhewere, who lives at Ojo, a suburb of Lagos was on Thursday arraigned before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court. He is being charge for defilement.
According to NAN, the child who began was bleeding and writhing in pains, cried to her mother and the accused was apprehended.
The offence, which contravenes Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 carries a life imprisonment punishment.
“The accused shut the door after her, defiled her and used a white handkerchief to clean the blood stains.”

Chief Magistrate Taiwo Akanni granted the father of the girl bail of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum. The case was then adjourned till Aug. 2
