Los Angeles police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who was caught on camera allegedly kidnapping a woman in Sylmar.
A video of the incident appears to show the suspect and victim arguing in the moments before he grabs her by the hair and forces her into a light blue Chrysler minivan — possibly a Town and Country Van — parked on the curb next to them.
The woman tries to escape, only to be pushed back into the vehicle before the suspect drives off with her still inside.
Los Angeles police said they were notified of the kidnapping near El Cajon Street near San Fernando Road on Wednesday around 12:30 p.m., according to a Los Angeles Police Department press release.NY Daily reports.
Officers are seeking the community’s assistance in identifying the pair. The female victim was described as Hispanic with long black hair, around 25 to 35 years old, according to the press release. The alleged kidnapper is about 250 pounds and around 30 to 35 years old.
