Sad! Couple with 3 young children both diagnosed with terminal cancer & have few months to live

A young couple who both have terminal cancer have warned others to go straight to the doctor if they start to feel unwell.

Mum-of-three Karen Stewart, 36, and her 42-year-old partner have both been told they have months to live.

Her partner Ed was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer in May, not long after Karen was told her neuroblastoma had returned 16 years on from her first diagnosis, Irish Mirror reports .

After successfully receiving chemotherapy, she lived a cancer free life for 10 years until it returned when she was just 32.

Karen, 36, whose young children are Keeva, 10, eight-year-old Finn and four-year-old Erin, is now warning people not to ignore the signs and to seek instant medical attention.

Speaking exclusively to RSVP magazine, she said:
“If you have pain, go get it checked, if you have a lump get it checked.
“It might be nothing but could be something. Don’t leave it until it’s too late.
“If you have a pain, especially if you have it weeks, you should seek medical advice.
“And if you don’t get relief straight away just go private, it costs around €250, and you get the results faxed to your doctor that day, that is how my husband found out.
“We had been putting it down to a suspected heart attack he had in February of this year.

Ed is currently in a hospice with just months to live.
Friends of Karen and Ed have set up a GoFundMePage to help this young couple and their children raise €10,000 during a very difficult and sad time.

According to the page they want to use the money to allow Karen and Ed make fond memories with their young kids.
