Ayanna Williams has snagged the title for the world's longest fingernails. Ayanna, who is nail artist in Texas won the title with nails that are more than 18 feet long.
According to Ayanna, she has spent most of her adult life growing her nails and first got inspired to, by a friend.
On most challenging thing about having extremely long fingernails, is pulling up her pants. Ayanna also revealed it takes about a week to paint her nails.
To take care of the nails, the nail artist, uses anti-bacterial soap and a nail brush to clean them daily. And to help them grow, she regularly applies hardener and a thin layer of acrylic. .
On her reason for applying for the record, she said:
'To let my children know that anything they want to accomplish can be done. It takes courage, discipline and patience but it can be accomplished.'
