Why We Are Yet To Release Kidnapped Lagos Pupils - Militants Reveal

37-days after the abduction of the Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe, militants who carried out this evil act, have given reasons why they are yet to release the students despite collecting N30million ransom in two installments from some parents.

Through a chat with one of the sources close to the kidnappers, Saturday Sun gathered that the rumored plans to invade the creeks by security operatives as soon as the students are released created apprehension in the militants camp.

“From our own information network, we learnt the military and other security agencies are planning to bombard the creeks through air and land attacks and we are no fools to just release the students without proper planning for our own escape and safety. For now, the students will serve as our shield”, the source who spoke from the militants camp revealed.

He further stated that if this plan isn't dropped the militants might relocate their captives to the more dangerous camps in Delta creeks.

“The tension is mounting as America has succeeded in convincing everyone that he is going to be a strong commander. Many militants who are opposing his authority especially from Agbala camp are showing allegiance to America. (Agbala is an ex-militant who has since accepted amnesty and is allegedly working for Government) Agbala and some others in Ondo are working with government and they assured them that they will see to the safe return of the children. Since they have not kept to their promise, everyone is frustrated. America has officially taken control of the creeks,’ the source added.

On the possible new location where the children will be taken to,

 “They are still awaiting the arrival of a strong boat and well armed men who will escort them. There are still creeks that are safe in the Niger Delta region where they intend to move the students. They are likely to be released over there,” the source stated.

One of the parents of the pupils kidnapped said:

 “We are gradually losing hope in this country. If they picked up a local government chairman’s child, I am sure that the current government will do the needful to hasten their release. They have stopped calling us despite their promise to release the children. We are begging them (militants) to have mercy on us and release our boys to us.”

Police spokesman, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole also spoke on the issue when contacted saying:

“the command is working hard on all clues that will lead to the rescue of the children.” Another senior police officer in the command who spoke on condition of anonymity said everyone is simply praying for the safe return of the students. “Our concern is the safe return of these students. No one is combing anywhere anymore because it is risky and could jeopardise the life of those boys.

“We will wait for them outside because they are not going to remain in the creeks forever. If the likes of Ossy, TK, Kelly and Millions are no more, their current commander popularly called ‘America’ will surely fall one day.

Mel B Has Squandered Her Multi-Million Dollar Fortune, New Court Hearing Reveals

Former Spice Girls star Mel B has wiped out her multi-million fortune after leading an 'extravagant' lifestyle, a court was told during a bitter divorce battle.

The singer, 42, attended court in Los Angeles on Friday for the first time to face Stephen Belafonte, who she says subjected her to years of physical and mental abuse.
The pair both have outstanding tax debts after making 'improvident' lifestyle choices, Los Angeles Superior Court was told.

She was revealed to be making between $194,000 and $198,000 a month.

Belafonte, who claims his income is zero, is asking for backdated wages of $118,000, $2,728 in perks, $71,581 in spousal support and $200,000 to pay for his ongoing legal costs.

His lawyer, Grace Jamra, asked Judge Lawrence Riff to order the sale of the couple's Los Angeles home if necessary. It is currently on the market for $8 million.

She said said: 'Their lifestyle was extravagant and affluent.

'She wiped out all her Spice Girls money, approximately [$]50 million if not more.'

In exclusive DailyMail.com pictures the former Spice Girl looked confident as she strode into the downtown LA court building in black pants, a white shirt, lace tie and a pair of trendy black shades.

Flanked by her legal reps, the pop star stayed quiet as she entered the building.

The former couple, who were married for 10 years, are battling over money and custody of their child.

Jacalyn Davis, representing Brown, spoke of their tax problems, saying they were 'sustained through improvident lifestyle choices'.

'They never had money at the end of the year to pay their taxes,' she added.

'All their community income was being spent and then some.

'In this marriage that would be Miss Brown's income from the Spice Girls.

'Prickly things happen when the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) doesn't get paid.'

On Friday, Judge Riff told the former couple he was 'sorry they engaged in such a rancorous fight' as he concluded the spousal support hearing.

He postponed his decision on whether Belafonte will be granted a total of $118,000 in spousal support - backdated to March - until Wednesday.

Judge Riff's decision to postpone came at the end of a bad-tempered hearing that lasted over two and a half hours - split into two sessions.

Nigerian Doctor Goes On Shooting Spree At New York Hospital

Henry Bello, a Nigerian doctor reportedly went on a  shooting spree on Friday,at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Centre, New York, United States killing one and injuring six others. Bello is said to have also opened fire on himself, dying in the process.
Bello aged 45, was found dead on the 17th floor of the facility, the city police told NBC News.

Reports have it that the gunfire was first reported at 3pm on the eighth floor of the hospital which saw the hospital being immediately placed on lockdown as police launched a floor-by-floor search for the armed intruder.

“This would appear, preliminarily, to be a former employee dressed in a hospital jacket similar to what you would see a doctor wearing, who is familiar with the hospital, which makes the situation a lot more problematic,” officials said, adding that Bello had a rifle, possibly an AR-15 type assault rifle, and had previously worked at the hospital.

Just before 4pm, the Assistant Commissioner for Communication for the NYPD, Peter Donald, announced the search for the suspect was over.

“One shooter is deceased at the hospital,” he said.

Before killing himself, Bello tried to start a fire on the 16th floor that was doused by the hospital’s sprinkler system, a senior official with direct knowledge of the incident said.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced in a tweet later that the situation was not an act of terrorism.
