A Texas man was arrested on domestic violence charges for allegedly attacking his pregnant girlfriend for making too much noise while she was having contractions.
Lubbock police said Adam Reyna, 23, assaulted the expectant woman on numerous occasions, including while she was having contractions.
According to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, Reyna's mom called police in June after learning about one alleged incident. The girlfriend told authorities that on June 21 she started having contractions in the middle of the night.
She said Reyna became agitated she wouldn't be quiet and repeatedly punched her in the face until she stopped talking.
It's not clear if the girlfriend had the baby already.
Reyna's mother reportedly told police that her son struggles with mental health and substance abuse. She said she thinks that's what influenced Reyna to attack his girlfriend.
