Las Vegas killer's girlfriend says she thought $100K was a breakup gift

The girlfriend of the Las Vegas gunman claims that she thought he sent her to the Philippines and sent her $100,000 in order to break up with her.
Marilou Danley, 62, said in a statement through her lawyer Wednesday that then-boyfriend Stephen Paddock, 64, had bought her a 'cheap' ticket to the Philippines two weeks ago, out of the blue.

She also says she had no knowledge of any plans by him to commit a massacre,AP reports.

Marilou Danley’s lawyer said Wednesday she plans to cooperate fully with the investigation of her boyfriend Stephen Paddock.

She returned to the U.S. Tuesday night from the Philippines, where she was visiting family.

While she was there, Paddock, a high-stakes gambler, sent her $100,000.

Lombard says she was not expecting the money and worried that he was breaking up with her. This version corrects that she says she had no knowledge of any plans.
